Happy 250th America
Dear Friend,
The Fourth of July has always felt personal to me. I grew up in Canada, fell in love with the American West, and chose to build my life here in the shadow of the Tetons. This year, America turns 250. What has always struck me about this country is that its founding was an act of faith — faith in something not yet seen, not yet proven, held onto anyway. The men who signed their names in 1776 were not certain of the outcome. They were certain of the Author. I understand that kind of trust. It is the same trust that has carried Pearls by Shari from a single strand of pearls to 90 E. Broadway and beyond.
I have always believed that with God, nothing is impossible. That has been true in my life more times than I can count — in the pearls that found their way to me from the farthest corners of the world, in the women who have worn them through the most sacred moments of their lives, and in the freedom this country affords to build something lasting with your hands, your heart, and your faith. I do not take any of it for granted.
Our 250th Collection was born from that gratitude. It is a tribute to the country that welcomed me and to the values that continue to shape it: faith, freedom, perseverance, and hope. Each piece carries the colors of the West—the gold of desert light, the deep blue of a Wyoming sky, and the luminous white of a South Sea pearl—created for women who understand that the most beautiful things in life are formed slowly, and never without purpose.
As you gather with family and friends this Independence Day, I hope your day is filled with laughter, wonderful memories, and wide-open skies. And I hope there is a quiet moment to give thanks—to the God who makes all things possible, and to the extraordinary gift of living freely within this great nation.
With gratitude and joy,Shari
