The Gift and Power of Our Words

As Thanksgiving draws near, I’ve found myself returning to one simple and enduring truth. Gratitude is not only something we feel, it is something we speak. Our words hold the ability to shape moments, strengthen relationships, and leave impressions that last far beyond the season.

This year, as I imagine all of us gathered around the table, I want to share a few things I am especially grateful for.I am grateful for America, a country where we can speak freely, worship openly, gather with those we love, and pursue the dreams placed on our hearts. The freedom to use our words with purpose and conviction is a blessing I never take lightly.

In recent months, I’ve become even more aware of how profoundly words influence the way we live. Faith is nurtured through words. Love is expressed through words. Gratitude is deepened through words. What we choose to say can turn an ordinary moment into one we cherish forever.A sincere “I’m proud of you” or “I believe in you” can echo in someone’s life for years, offering courage in difficult seasons or reminding them of their worth. And just as loving words can strengthen, harsh words can wound. For better or worse, the language we choose builds the foundation of our families, reinforces the bonds of our friendships, and sets the tone for our communities.

As we enter this season of thanks and giving, my hope is that we will all choose to speak hope, life, and kindness into the world around us. Our homes, our country, and our hearts need more of that today. When spoken with sincerity and gentleness, words create a legacy. Much like a strand of pearls, each word adds to the next, forming something beautiful, intentional, and lasting.

And finally, I want to say how profoundly thankful I am for you, our Pearls by Shari family. Your encouragement and support allow me to continue traveling the world in search of its rarest pearls and designing pieces that honor your stories. For your trust and friendship, I am deeply and joyfully grateful.

May this Thanksgiving fill your home with peace, warmth, and words that uplift, inspire, and stay with you long after the holiday has passed.

With love and thankfulness,

Shari
